Luke Mejia is a curious learner, and a proud student at the University of Houston. Although he is doing a dual degree in Physics and Communications, Luke loves to get out and try new things. He is the Finance Director for the Cougar Camerata, and the Emcee for the Honors Follies this summer. He owns his own tutoring business, and loves to help others learn. Luke plans to pursue a career in unconventional education, and isn’t sure what his future entails. For Luke music is a passion that has brought him many of his best friends. He continues to pursue music through the Cougar Camerata and by playing with friends, showing that you don’t have to be a music major to continue developing your musical skills. Luke loves to support his musically talented buddies by attending recitals, and concerts. Luke’s outgoing personality has placed him in roles such as Lord Farquaad in his high school’s rendition of Shrek the Musical. Luke plans to intern with several companies in the upcoming semesters to find a position that might suit him in his future endeavors. For now he will continue his lifelong journey to learn, and be the best person he can be.
